Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Philippine expressway toll fees, RFID systems, vehicle classes, and more.
Use the Expressway.PH toll calculator above. Select your origin and destination toll plazas from any expressway, pick your vehicle class, and click Calculate. The tool instantly shows you the TRB-approved toll fee in Philippine Pesos. For cross-expressway routes (e.g., Balintawak to Calamba), the calculator automatically detects the expressways involved and shows a segment-by-segment breakdown.
Philippine expressways use three vehicle classes for toll computation. Class 1 covers cars, SUVs, vans, pick-ups, and other light vehicles. Class 2 covers buses and light trucks (vehicles with two axles but six or more wheels). Class 3 covers large trucks and trailers with three or more axles. Class 2 vehicles typically pay about 1.5 times the Class 1 rate, while Class 3 vehicles pay approximately double the Class 1 rate.
Yes, all Philippine expressways now require RFID for cashless toll collection. NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX, CALAX, CAVITEX, NLEX Connector, and Harbor Link use the Easytrip RFID system. SLEX, Skyway, STAR Tollway, MCX, and NAIAX use the Autosweep RFID system. You can install an RFID sticker at any toll plaza customer service center. Make sure to load sufficient balance before traveling.
The toll fee from Balintawak to Dau on NLEX is PHP 411 for Class 1 vehicles (cars, SUVs, vans). This covers the full length of NLEX from Quezon City to the Dau/Mabalacat interchange in Pampanga. From Dau, you can continue to SCTEX toward Clark or Subic, or take TPLEX toward Pangasinan and La Union.
The toll fee from Magallanes to Calamba on SLEX is PHP 244 for Class 1 vehicles. This route covers the full South Luzon Expressway from Makati/Magallanes to Calamba, Laguna. From Calamba, you can continue to STAR Tollway toward Batangas or take CALAX toward Tagaytay and Cavite.
The Skyway Stage 3 toll fee ranges from PHP 105 to PHP 264 for Class 1 vehicles, depending on your entry and exit points. The full end-to-end toll from Buendia to Balintawak (or NLEX) is PHP 264. Shorter trips like Buendia to Plaza Dilao cost PHP 105. Skyway Stage 3 connects SLEX to NLEX via an elevated expressway through Metro Manila.
Yes, toll rates are the same regardless of which RFID system you use. The toll fees are set by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) and are the same for all payment methods. The difference is which RFID sticker you need: Easytrip for MPTC-operated expressways (NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX, CALAX, CAVITEX) and Autosweep for SMC Tollways-operated expressways (SLEX, Skyway, STAR Tollway, NAIAX, MCX). Interoperability allows both RFIDs to work on most expressways.
The toll rates on Expressway.PH were last updated in February 2026 based on the latest TRB-approved toll rate matrices. Toll rates in the Philippines are regulated by the Toll Regulatory Board and may be adjusted periodically through Toll Rate Petitions. We monitor all toll rate changes and update our calculator within 24 hours of any official rate adjustment.
Yes! The calculator supports cross-expressway routes. Simply type your origin and destination plazas — even if they are on different expressways. The calculator automatically finds the route through interchange points (like Balintawak, Buendia, Calamba, and C-3 Road) and shows a segment-by-segment breakdown with individual tolls for each expressway.
Expressway.PH covers all 13 major toll expressways in the Philippines: NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX, SLEX, Skyway, Skyway Stage 3, CALAX, CAVITEX, MCX, STAR Tollway, NAIAX, NLEX Connector, and Harbor Link. This includes expressways in Metro Manila, North Luzon, South Luzon, and Central Luzon. Each expressway has a complete toll matrix with rates for every entry-exit combination.
